SOIL SCIENCE course
introduces students to the knowledge of soil characteristics and management.
Students will learn methods of prevention and conservation for problematic
soil. Students are also exposed to the implementation of proper principles of
INTRODUCTION TO AGRICULTURE TECHNOLOGY course covers the history, development and application of modern agricultural technology for crop production, processing and handling of produce. This course will also introduce students to enclosed system in modern agriculture. Students will know about social, technical and environmental aspects during agriculture technology transfer, acceptance and management.
CROP PROTECTION will expose students to basic concepts of crop protection, crop pests and diseases control methods in agriculture field. This course also discusses on types, uses of pesticide and Integrated Pest Management in crop protection management.
CROP PRODUCTION SYSTEM is designed to equip students with basic knowledge
and skills on production and management of crops such as rice, maize, sweet potatoes,
tapioca and coconut in meeting national food supply. Students will learn the standard
operating procedures, harvesting and post-harvest handling of crops production.
Students are also exposed to method improvement program and commercialisation of
MICROBIAL TECHNOLOGY describes the development of this discipline, concepts
and technologies involving microorganisms in different industrial activities. It
emphasizes the roles of microbial technologies in agriculture including food and feed
industries. This course also explains the techniques in screening and culture of
microorganisms. Students will also be exposed to the roles of microorganisms in
environment and waste management.
NURSERY MANAGEMENT course is designed to equip students with knowledge and skills on principles and techniques to set up and manage plant nursery. Students will learn on plant breeding, propagation techniques and maintenance activities. Students also are exposed to commercialization of nursery product.
GREEN TECHNOLOGY COMPLIANCE course is designed to introduce students with fundamentals of green technology, green practices, and green compliances towards the ultimate target of sustainable living. Students will be exposed to different feasible technologies in achieving goals that show developments in rapidly growing fields such as sustainability, innovation, viability and natural sources reduction. Students will also learn other areas where green technology is implemented such as energy, transport, building, water and waste management.
BASIC ROBOTIC AND AUTOMATION IN AGRICULTURE course provides the students with the basic aspect in robotic system including robot categories, robot control system and robot geometry. It discusses elements of robot, manipulators and robotic application in agriculture. This course also focuses on automation in agriculture including various types of switches, sensors and motors. It explains the automation system including Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) to control the system.
FERTIGATION TECHNOLOGY course is designed to equip students with basic
knowledge and skills on potential, principles and maintenance using fertigation
technology. Students will learn management of high value vegetables using fertigation
technology. Students are also exposed to agronomy for crop production.
INTEGRATED FARMING SYSTEM is designed to equip students with the knowledge and understanding of the importance of integrated farming. It deals with agricultural systems that integrate crop, poultry, livestock and aquaculture production. This course also provides students with the knowledge and skills in conducting agronomic practices in integrated farming.
AGRICULTURE PROJECT 1 equip knowledge and skills towards an agriculture
research project that implement all skills and knowledge related to the field. Students
must be able to provide and present comprehensive research proposals and it’s potential
to be commercialized
PRECISION AGRICULTURE encompasses concepts and sustainability practices in agriculture. Variability measurements using various sampling procedures, interpolation of spatial patterns and geographical information system, modeling and simulation of crop growth, supporting technologies and use of remote sensing data.
POTENTIAL AGRICULTURE CROP course introduces students to the potential and developing agriculture crop such as medicinal plants and mushroom. Students will learn the benefits and cultivation methods of the crops.
E-AGRICULTURE is designed to prepare students with current and updated work-related skills and technologies in agriculture with the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Content in this course provides students basic knowledge in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) components and interface, computers literacy and networking. This course also gives students the opportunity to use Information and Communication Technology (ICT) devices and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies for applications in agriculture.
AGRICULTURE PROJECT 2 is a continuation from Agriculture Project 1 which integrates concepts, technical skills and data obtained from the field studies into one final project. It enables students to organise the use of a given quantity of resources in a specific way to achieve particular results. It has a precise beginning and ending where practical work and project implementation is performed within a specific time frame. The execution of a project requires multidisciplinary effort, mobilizing different skillsand resources to achieve predetermined development objectives and produce research that gives a social, economic or financial viability.
MECHANISATION IN AGRICULTURE discussed on the advantages of using machineries in the modern agriculture in order to replace the conventional method. This course emphasizes on agriculture tractor system and the implementation of land preparation by ploughing methods. It also discussed on planting equipment, fertilizer spreading equipment and crop protection equipment. Lastly, this course provides knowledge on harversting machines and small machines in aspects to optimise the agriculture production yield.
POST HARVEST TECHNOLOGY course is designed to equip students with basic
knowledge and skills in harvesting handlings and technology of post harvest
agriculture fresh produce. Students will be exposed to various post harvest
technology such as storage, drying, chilling, packaging, processing, ozonation
and irradiation. Students will also learn how to perform post harvest
technology application to selected commodities.
AGRICULTURE WASTE MANAGEMENT course is designed to introduce the basic
knowledge and skills on technology in agricultural wastes management, recycling
of green wastes, bioremediation, wastes treatment and usage of end-product in
agro waste management to students.
URBAN HORTICULTURE SYSTEMS course introduces students to the various
techniques of urban horticulture system. Students will be exposed to relationship
between horticulture plants and the urban environment. It also focuses on the functional
use of horticulture plants to maintain and improve the surrounding urban area using the
suitable urban horticulture system.
TECHNOLOGY course is designed to equip students with basic knowledge and skills
in post harvest handlings and technology for
commercial agricultural produce. Students will be exposed to various
post harvest technology such as drying, chilling, ozonation and irradiation. Students
will also learn how to perform post harvest technology application to selected
FISH DISEASE MANAGEMENT is designed to equip students with the knowledge and understanding of the fish disease and its management in aquaculture. It deals with the symptoms shown by infected fish, pathogenic disease mainly caused by bacteria,
parasites, viruses and fungi. It’s also cover the non-pathogenic problem that lead to fish disease such as low water quality, nutrition imbalance, and improper handling. This course also provides students with knowledge and skills in disease prevention, treatment method, and chemicals handling.
GROW OUT CULTURE introduces the knowledge and skills for grow out culture operations. This topic emphasized on grow out culture preparations, husbandry practices, feeding and harvesting activities. Students are able to know the procedures of grow out culture from preparation until harvesting the stocks.
URBAN AQUACULTURE is designed to equip student
with the knowledge and understanding of various aquaculture concepts with the implementation of latest technology. It emphasizes the concept of biofiltration nutrient
cycle, recirculating aquaculture system and automation in aquaculture. This course also provide student
to apply the concept of aquaponics
system and integrated multi trophic aquaculture system.
PROJECT PROPOSAL equips knowledge and skills to plan and execute it towards a commercial project. Students must be able to provide and present comprehensive research proposals and its potential to be commercialized.
AQUACULTURE SYSTEM AND TECHNOLOGY introduce students with the knowledge of hydrological information for design and operate the aquaculture system and its hydraulic aspect. It covers the water treatment, setting, biological filter, disinfection, aeration and feeding system during aquaculture production. This topic also exposes students to the safety procedures and basic knowledge on maintenance of equipment and facilities used in aquaculture.
AQUATIC INVERTEBRATE CULTURE is designed to introduces students to the knowledge and skills in invertebrate culture that focuses on morphology and biology, site selection, grow out culture preparation and culture techniques. This course also covers basic knowledge of invertebrate disease, harvesting and post-harvest handling. Students will be able to know the proper way of aquatic invertebrate culture from site selection until harvesting the stocks.
AQUACULTURE FINAL PROJECT is a scheme to organize the use of a given quantity of resources in a specified way to achieve particular results in aquaculture project, all within a definite time. It has a precise beginning and a precise end.
The execution of a project requires multidisciplinary effort, mobilizing different skills and resources to achieve predetermined development objectives which will result, directly or indirectly, in new or added value or social, economic or financial benefits.
OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH course is designed to impart
understanding of the self-regulatory concepts and provisions under the Occupational
Safety & Health Act (OSHA). This course presents the responsibilities of workers
in implementing and complying with the safety procedures at work. Understanding
of notifications of accidents, dangerous occurrence, poisoning and diseases and
liability for offences will be imparted upon students. This course will also provide
an understanding of the key issues in OSH Management, Incident Prevention, Fire
Safety, Hazard Identification Risk Control and Risk Assessment (HIRARC),
Workplace Environment and Ergonomics and guide the students gradually into this

COMMUNICATIVE ENGLISH 1 focuses on developing
students’ speaking skills to enable them to communicate effectively and
effectively in group discussions and in a variety of social interactions. It is
designed to provide students with appropriate reading skills to comprehend a
variety of texts. The students are equipped with effective presentation skills
as a preparation for academic and work purposes.
3 aims to develop the necessary skills in students to analyse and interpret
graphs and charts from data collected as well as to apply the job hunting mechanics
effectively in their related fields. Students will learn to gather data and
present them through the use of graphs and charts. Students will also learn
basics of job hunting mechanics which include using various job search
strategies, making enquiries and preparing relevant resumes and cover letters.
The students will develop communication skills to introduce themselves,
highlight their strengths and abilities, present ideas, express opinions and
respond appropriately during the job interviews.
PENGHAYATAN ETIKA DAN PERADABAN ini menjelaskan tentang konsep
etika daripada perspektif peradaban yang berbeza. Ia bertujuan bagi mengenal pasti
sistem, tahap perkembangan, kemajuan dan kebudayaan merentas bangsa dalam
mengukuhkan kesepaduan sosial. Selain itu, perbincangan dan perbahasan berkaitan
isu-isu kontemporari dalam aspek ekonomi, politik, sosial, budaya dan alam sekitar
daripada perspektif etika dan peradaban dapat melahirkan pelajar yang bermoral dan
profesional. Penerapan amalan pendidikan berimpak tinggi (HIEPs) yang bersesuaian
digunakan dalam penyampaian kursus ini.
SAINS, TEKNOLOGI DAN KEJURUTERAAN DALAM ISLAM memberi
pengetahuan tentang konsep Islam sebagai al-Din dan seterusnya membincangkan
konsep sains, teknologi dan kejuruteraan dalam Islam serta impaknya, pencapaiannya
dalam tamadun Islam, prinsip serta peranan syariah dan etika Islam, peranan kaedah
fiqh serta aplikasinya
KOMUNIKASI DAN PENYIARAN ISLAM memfokuskan kepada penguasaan konsep, kemahiran komunikasi dan penyiaran islam bagi meningkatkan kefahaman pelajar secara holistik terhadap kursus ini.
